Narrative Methods in Collaborative Systems Research

There have been numerous calls to incorporate narrative more explicitly into social science methods. Towards that end, this paper identifies a range of choices concerning the analysis of narrative data. I argue that preserving the most basic features of narrative (sequential structure) is helpful, but that incorporating more aspects of narrative (such as the focal actor(s), narrative voice, and evaluative context) creates some interesting possibilities in the area of collaborative
